Abstract
X-Ray photoemission spectroscopy has been performed on Cu1-xBa2Can-1Cu nO2n+4-delta ceramics and epitaxial films. A considerable oxygen loss from the vicinity of (BaO/CuOy/BaO) blocking layers has been observed even on the in situ measured films or the ceramics just scraped in vac uum. A heat treatment under 100% O-3 beam is useful to develop their i ntrinsic surfaces. Binding energy of constituents of the treated sampl es are similar to those of T1 system superconductors.
