Abstract
Homochiral catalysts, [Rh(norbornadiene) -(homochiral diphosphine)]+ X -/H-2, were tested to assess possible enantiocontrol in the aldol-type coupling of activated vinyl components with aldehydes. A related appr oach, via in situ rhodium silyl enolates, was also investigated.
