Abstract
Aryl aldimines of alpha-amino acid methyl esters yield cycloadducts in a regiospecific way when reacting with citraconic acid anhydride in t oluene-AcOH-Ac2O. Structure of cycloadducts was determined by X-ray di ffraction and also was chemically confirmed.
