Abstract
Imipramine is an antidepressant drug that is rarely associated with mi ld liver function abnormalities. These are usually minor and transient liver enzyme elevations which return to normal levels upon discontinu ation of the drug. We describe a 48-year-old male who developed subful minant hepatic failure after imipramine usage, with complete recovery within three months after discontinuation of the drug.
