Abstract
The hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) on tungsten carbide (WC) electro de in pure molten triethylammonium fluoroborate has been studied using galvanostatic, steady-state polarization and ac impedance methods. Th e equivalent circuit containing the constant phase element (CPE) was u sed to describe the impedance data. The roughness factor of commercial WC electrode was estimated.
