Vv. Krasnoyarskii et Lm. Petrova, THE EFFECT OF ALLOYING ON THE ELECTROCHEMICAL CORROSION BEHAVIOR OF MAGNESIUM-ZINC ALLOYS, Protection of metals, 32(2), 1996, pp. 194-196
Free corrosion and the galvanostatic anodic behavior of binary magnesi
um-zinc alloys in a neutral solution were studied. Alloying with zinc
considerably decreases the spontaneous-dissolution rate, especially fo
r single-phase alloys because of the formation of oxide films with bet
ter protective properties.
