G. Tamova et al., RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LIGHT-INTENSITY AND THE CHANGES IN THE INTRACELLULAR LEVEL OF ATP DURING PHOTOINDUCTION IN TRICHODERMA-VIRIDE, Folia microbiologica, 40(5), 1995, pp. 516-518
Among the primary biochemical changes evoked by illumination in dark-g
rown mycelia of Trichoderma viride is the temporal rise in the intrace
llular level of ATP. We investigated the dependence of ATP changes on
light intensity and exposure. Marked changes in the intracellular ATP
levels occurred within 10 min of the onset of illumination and their r
apidity was proportional to the light intensity. Statistically signifi
cant changes in the intracellular levels of ATP were observed at light
intensities in the range of 0.9-2.5 klx with the maximum increase (15
0 % above the intracellular level of ATP in the dark control) at 1.2 k
lx.
