Abstract
Purified Bacillus subtilis GlnR was shown to bind with high affinity t o a specific region that overlaps with the glnRA promoter site. The Gl nR binding site includes four copies of a repeated sequence that may b e the recognition site for the protein, GlnR inhibited transcription f rom the glnRA promoter in vitro.
