Abstract
Different parameters of heart were measured in 30 goats foeti of diffe rent ages (CR length 4.00-35.00 cm). Heart on an average weighed 0.36/-0.06 and 11.19+/-1.27g in groups 1 and 3 respectively. It was 1.65 a nd 1.12% of the body weight in groups 1 and 3, respectively, and revea led maximum (3 000%) total (groups 1-3) increase. The circumference at coronary groove was 2.09+/-0.20 cm in group 1 and increased 2 and 4 t imes in groups 2 and 3 respectively. Length of heart and transverse an d sagittal diameters of its base in group 1 increased approximately 2 and 3 times in groups 2 and 3 respectively. Gross view of interior of the ventricles did not reveal any conspicuous structures in group 1. T hese were evident in group 2, and thickened and developed in group 3. The cardiac fat was seen in coronary groove in the specimens of group 3.
