Abstract
The purpose of this article is to educate primary care providers regar ding the theory and basic principles of acupuncture. Various indicatio ns for acupuncture are discussed. It is hoped that this article will a llow the primary care practitioner to correctly identify patients in h is or her practice who might benefit from acupuncture treatment.
