Abstract
The combined models developed in Part I of this paper have been applie d to predicting the size and inter-particle spacing of MgZn2 grain bou ndary precipitates and the widths of precipitate-free zones in 7150 al uminium alloy as a function of heat treatment condition. The compariso ns of theoretical predictions and experimental measurements are descri bed. The results of the theoretical prediction given by the newly deve loped combined model, in which the precipitation and the segregation c omponent are described by Carolan and Faulkner's model and the newly d eveloped non-equilibrium segregation model, are well in line with the experimental measurements.
