Abstract
Radiometrically-corrected Airborne Visible and Infrared Imaging Spectr ometer (AVIRIS) data acquired on 3 October 1990 were calibrated to gro und reflectance and used to determine the detection limits for green v egetation in cultivated Monterey Pine stands. Percent green vegetation cover, estimated from low altitude color aerial photography, ranged f rom 2. 0 % to 31.9 %. The chlorophyll red edge was detected for green vegetation cover as low as 4.8 %.
