Abstract
The behaviour of semidiscretizations of reaction-diffusion equations i s studied. Necessary and sufficient conditions for blow-up in such dis cretizations are given and bounds on the blow-up time are provided. Co nvergence of the blow-up times of the semidiscrete problems to the the oretical one is established. Also, some numerical experiments are repo rted.
