Abstract
The interaction of aluminum with an eutectic mixture of the lithium, s odium, and potassium carbonates containing some amount of lead (II) ch loride was investigated at the corrosion potential and during anodic p olarization. It was shown that chlorides partially break down the oxid e film; lead is substituted for aluminum in breakdowns, therewith the surface differentiates in microcathodes and microanodes. The local lea d-deposition on the film was noted.
