Abstract
Flow restrictions resulting from compacted-polymer at the entrance-of barrier flighted screw sections can lead to high extrudate temperature s and significantly reduced extrusion rates, The authors pre sent thre e case studies in which they discuss screw modifications that were mad e to eliminate such problems.
