F. Fabbro et al., EFFECTS OF HYPNOSIS ON THE FUNDAMENTAL-FREQUENCY OF VOICE IN DIFFERENT EMOTIONAL IMITATIONS, Perceptual and motor skills, 82(2), 1996, pp. 571-577
The modifications of human vocal fundamental frequency (f(0)) were stu
died in six emotional imitations of a sequence during normal and hypno
tic conditions. In hypnosis the fundamental frequency was significantl
y lower than in the normal condition; in particular, in this altered s
tate of consciousness two emotional imitations (angry and crying condi
tions) were significantly different with respect to the normal conditi
on.
