Abstract
The modifications of human vocal fundamental frequency (f(0)) were stu died in six emotional imitations of a sequence during normal and hypno tic conditions. In hypnosis the fundamental frequency was significantl y lower than in the normal condition; in particular, in this altered s tate of consciousness two emotional imitations (angry and crying condi tions) were significantly different with respect to the normal conditi on.
