Abstract
A method for assessing the relative risk of two cropping systems is pr esented. The method is based on separate risk estimation of the system s to be compared. It simplifies an earlier approach by Mead et al. (19 86, Biometrics 42, 253-266). A biological example is used to exemplify the method and to demonstrate the interpretation of results.
