Abstract
The problem of TM-mode scattering from the finite number of rectangula r notches in a parallel plate waveguide is considered. The Fourier-tra nsform is employed to obtain simultaneous equations and the simultaneo us equations are solved to obtain an analytic solution in rapidly-conv ergent series. Numerical computations are performed to investigate the scattering behavior in terms of frequency and notch sizes. The presen ted theory is applicable to the analysis of scattering from the E-plan e stubs in the rectangular waveguide.
