Abstract
Primary rumours of the posterior wall of the pharynx are not frequent and until a few years ago were treated by radiotherapy. Two different cases of large resection of the posterior pharyngeal wall without lary ngectomy and treated with two different types of revascularized free f laps are presented. Reconstruction of the posterior pharyngeal wall sh ould be carried out using free tissue transfer if possible, especially when there has been previous radiation therapy.
