Abstract
The goal of immunosuppressive therapy in organ transplantation is the achievement of transplant-specific immune tolerance. Elucidation of th e molecular basis of the functions of human lymphocytes is a step towa rds the development of novel, more specific and less harmful measures for clinical immune intervention.
