Abstract
We used organic molecular beam deposition (OMBD) to deposit vanadylpht halocyanine (VOPc) and titanylphthalocyanine (TiOPc) on sapphire R(110 2BAR) surfaces. The Q band absorption peaks of these films shift to lo nger wavelengths when deposition temperatures are higher. The spectra are grouped by the peak position, which is characteristic of the phase of the film and consistent with X-ray diffraction results. We could o bserve the spectra of amorphous, phase II, and another unknown high-te mperature phase of VOPc and TiOPc separately.
