Abstract
A number of 2-(p-arylazophenyl)-1,8-naphthyridines (3) have been synth esized by the condensation of 2-aminonicotinaldehyde (1) with p-arylaz oacetophenones (2) in ethanol in the presence of a catalytic amount of piperidine. The compounds have been tested for their antifungal and a ntibacterial activities.
