Abstract
The concept of mutual shadowing formalizes the concept of roughness of the observable behavior of dynamic systems and can be regarded as a w eakened form of the structural al stability that is useful in studying the dynamics of controlled systems. The concept of mutual shadowing i ncludes the concept of shadowing of both true and pseudotrajectories o f a dynamic system. The systems generated by semihyperbolic Lipschitz mappings, which are generally neither smooth nor invertible, are shown to exhibit the mutual shadowing property.
