STOCHASTIC-ANALYSIS OF THE ASYMPTOTIC KINETICS OF MULTIPARTICLE SPURS

Analyses are presented of the long-time asymptotic kinetics of spur re actions in the absence of scavenger, and of the asymptotic concentrati on dependence of the scavenging yield. The results show no dependence on the initial spatial distribution of the particles apart from that i nherent in the escape yield. However, the asymptotics are shown to pro vide further information about the probability distribution of the num bers of particles escaping, and hence to provide an indirect probe of the initial number distribution.
