Suprachiasmatic nuclei (SCN) of the hypothalamus are a pacemaker of ci
rcadian fluctuations of behaviour. Their signals reach the executive o
rgans by the hormonal and neuronal pathways through the brain messenge
r structures. It has been demonstrated with relationships between the
SCN, the pineal gland and striatum that these communications present t
he closed and autoregulated functional blocks.
