Abstract
(+/-)-E-linalool-1-oic acid, (+/-)-E-9-hydroxylinalool and (+/-)-7-hyd roxyterpineol 1, 2 and 3, respectively, have been synthesised by allyl ic oxidation of olefins by selenium dioxide catalysed by pyridine/t-bu tyl hydroperoxide in high yields.
