Abstract
Tax, is essential for human T-cell lymphotropic virus type I (HTLV-I) virus replication and transformation. We have identified and character ized a Tax(1) binding protein, TRX, by cDNA screening of a Jurkat T-ce ll cDNA library. TRX mRNA is ubiquitously expressed in human tissues t ested and cell lines analyzed.
