Abstract
The time dependence of the 3T1(P)-3T1(F) luminescence of Ni2+ centres in polymorphic ZnS crystals is investigated. By means of time- and sit e-selective spectroscopy both decay and thermalization processes in th e ps-domain are demonstrated. Especially, the interaction with low-fre quency phonons is altered by changes in the local environment of the N i2+ ion.
