Abstract
The title compound, [Al-2(C12H10O2P)(2)(CH3)(4)], contains discrete ce ntrosymmetric molecules each having a slightly puckered eight-membered (Al-O-P-O-)(2) ring. Displacements from the plane of the four O atoms are 0.28 (1) and 0.15 (1) Angstrom for the P and Al atoms, respective ly. The Al-O bond distances are 1.781 (3) and 1.794 (3) Angstrom, whil e the P-O distances are 1.512 (3) and 1.505 (2) Angstrom.
