Abstract
The lithium salt of croconic acid (4,5-dihydroxy-4-cyclopentene-1,2,3- trione), or lithium croconate, consists of planes containing almost pa rallel croconate units interconnected by water molecules and Li+ ions( 2Li(+).C5O52-.2H(2)O).
