Abstract
A new natural peptide ergot alkaloid, ergoladinine, containing methion ine, has been isolated from sclerotia of the field-growing parasitic f ungus, Claviceps purpurea. Its structure was deduced from the X-ray an alysis, NMR and mass spectral data.
