Abstract
The goal of regeneration in oral maxillofacial reconstruction is repla cing the previous goal of repair, Many advances in treatment and diagn osis have taken place in medicine and dentistry with the advent of DNA technology, The purpose of this paper is to provide the dental practi tioner an overview of some of the medical research using recombinant D NA technology and its potential use in dentistry.
