Abstract
Polymorphism in seed storage protein profiles of oats (Avena sativa L. ) were used for cultivars and lines characterization and identificatio n: Genetic similarity coefficients resulted from comparisons by globul in patterns, between all 22 genotypes used, showed that the genetic si milarity ranged from 16.7% to 100%. Two breeding lines not distinguish able by SDS-PAGE were differentiated by acid-PAGE. The cultivars Euro and Expander were not distinguished neither by globulin, nor by rolami n profiles.
