Abstract
Polymerase chain reaction was utilized to determine the sequence of a 280 base pair fragment from cDNAs of the 5' noncoding region of 29 iso lates of classical swine fever virus. Phylogenetic analysis of the seq uences revealed low level genomic variation that correlated with the g eographic origins of the isolates.
