Bridged polymeric phthalocyanines exist in different isomeric forms of
varying symmetry. The number of isomers and the symmetry depends on t
he structure, i.e. the size and shape, of the polymeric phthalocyanine
. Equations are derived for calculating the number of isomers for brid
ged polymeric phthalocyanines, and symmetry point groups for various s
hapes (linear, square, rectangular) are discussed.
