Abstract
A newly developed optical testing method, the digital correlation meth od (DCM), is discussed in this paper, and its use in testing of Poisso n's ratio of nonmetal, low modulus viscoelastic materials. DCM is a no ncontact testing method and is very easy to adapt to the environment. It has very bright prospects for wider applications. (C) 1996 John Wil ey & Sons, Inc.
