Abstract
Polymerized KC60 was investigated by scanning tunnelling microscopy (S TM) in ambient atmosphere. Linear polymer fibres were found in both as -grown and toluene-etched samples with an intermolecular distance arou nd 9.3 Angstrom. In bundles of polymer fibres the interfibre distance was found to be 14.7 Angstrom. STM images showing intrafibre and intra molecular contrasts were taken.
