Abstract
A two-level intervertebral disc prolapse is a rare circumstance in ado lescents. We describe the case of a 19-year-old man who suffered a dec eleration trauma and developed simultaneous large intervertebral disc herniations at L4/5 and L5/S1, The aetiology is discussed and, in acco rdance with the current literature, it is pointed out that clinical fi ndings due to intervertebral disc herniations in young people do not n ecessarily correspond with the extent of the disease.
