Abstract
The Coulomb dissociation of highly charged metal clusters is investiga ted. The analogy with a classical conducting liquid drop is discussed and predictions are given. Coincidence data from recent experiments on the fragmentation of such highly charged metal clusters formed in col lisions with multicharged ions are shown. Multi-emission of light char ged clusters is well identified.
