Thallium based single crystals (TlBa2Ca2Cu3O9 (Tl-1223), Tl2Ba2CaCu2O8
(Tl-2212) and Tl2Ba2Ca2Cu3O10 (Tl-2223)) have been exposed to Pb ions
irradiation along the c-axis at fluences of 5 X 10(10) and 2 X 10(11)
ions/cm(2). Reversible magnetization as a function of the field for d
ifferent temperatures was measured for each compound with different tr
ack densities, Two regimes are observed depending on the relative valu
es of B and the dose equivalent field B-Phi. They are explained in the
framework of the London model taking into account the modification of
the interaction energy due to the presence of irradiation induced col
umnar defects.
