Abstract
A type of shock fitting method is used to solve some two-dimensional s hock reflection problems. Numerical results show that the convergence rate of the method is about second order. Comparisons with the Lax-Fri edrichs scheme and the ENO scheme show that the results obtained by th e shock fitting method are very accurate. The method is generalized to solve three-dimensional shock reflection problems, the numerical exam ple shows that highly accurate results can also be obtained by the sho ck fitting method.
