Abstract
The new pentaruthenium phenylphosphidoanthracene bow-tie cluster, 5)-e ta(1):eta(2):eta(3):eta(3)-C14H8-eta(1)-PPh)], is prepared from the th ermolysis of [Ru-3(CO)(12)] and (9-anthracyl)diphenylphosphine, the cr ystal structure of which reveals a unique mu(5)-interaction of the lig and with the ruthenium cluster.
