Abstract
Cyclopent[h,i]acephenanthrylene is selectively formed upon flash vacuu m thermolysis at 1000 degrees C of triphenylene; the reaction represen ts a novel mechanistic route in combustion, giving rise to a cyclopent apolyaromatic compound.
