Abstract
The preparation and spectroscopic characterization of the hexane-solub le, dimeric dilithium iisopropyl-(2,4,6-triisopropylphenyl)phosphandii de 1 and ab initio calculations of the corresponding parent compound 3 are reported; 1 reacts with diisopropyl(2,4,6-triisopropylphenyl)-flu orosilane to form the unusual complex 2, whose structure has been esta blished by X-ray crystallographic analysis.
