Abstract
Kemp's acid imides transport transition-metal ions through a CHCl3 liq uid membrane, most effectively transporting Hg-II with high selectivit ies (Hg/Ag = 5, Hg/Cu = 14, and Hg/Pb = 86 for an aromatic imide).
