Vv. Krishnan et al., ENCAPSULATION OF HYDROGEN IN CADMIUM-EXCHANGED ZEOLITE-RHO - TEMPERATURE-PROGRAMMED DIFFUSION STUDIES, Chemical communications, (3), 1996, pp. 395-396
Cadmium-exchanged zeolite rho encapsulates 161 mu mol g(-1) of hydroge
n at 100 degrees C and 620 mu mol g(-1) at 200 degrees C, (in 2 h and
at 1 atm), the highest ever observed for any zeolite at 1 atm; hydroge
n-exchanged zeolite rho, however, shows negligible uptake of hydrogen,
providing evidence that the cadmium ion is directly responsible for h
ydrogen encapsulation.
