Abstract
The reactions of H(2)SiPh(2) with the triflato complexes Ir(OTf)(TFB)( PR(3)) afford the base stabilized silylene complexes IrH2{Si(OTf)Ph(2) }(TFB)(PR(3)) (TFB = tetrafluorobenzobarrelene; PR(3) = (PPr3)-Pr-i, P Cy(3)). The single-crystal X-ray structural analysis of IrH2{Si(OTf)-P h(2)}(TFB)((PPr3)-Pr-i) has been performed. The distances IrSi (2.337( 2) Angstrom) and Si-O (1.790(5) Angstrom) as well as the summation of angles at silicon, ignoring the Si-OTf bond (343.5 degrees), are in, a greement with the partial unsaturated character of the base-stabilized silylene ligand.
