Abstract
On the basis of loaning-unloading tests, transient temperature rise me asurement, and energy analysis of unidirectional fibre-reinforced epox y under tensile impact, a coated fibre bundle model is proposed. Accor ding to this model, a one-dimensional constitutive equation for glass- fibre-reinforced epoxy in tensile impact tests from 300 to 2000 s(-1) is derived from a statistical analysis of test data, and this equation is found to have obvious physical meaning.
