Abstract
The comminution of unagglomerated alumina powders was enhanced by appl ying ultrasonic energy during wet-ball milling for 16 h. The resulting powders had significantly finer mean and median particle sizes, narro wer particle-size distributions, and less angular morphologies than po wders which were conventionally wet-ball milled.
