Gn. Dronova et al., CONDITIONS FOR OBTAINING AN OPTICAL CERAMIC BASED ON SOLID-SOLUTIONS OF NALAS2-CAS FOR THE 8-14-MU-M SPECTRAL REGION, Journal of optical technology, 63(3), 1996, pp. 249-251
Compounds consisting of NaLaS2-CaS solid solutions, obtained by hot pr
essing in vacuum, can be promising materials for producing an IR-trans
parent ceramic (8-14 mu m). Based on studies of various powder composi
tions with the purpose of enhancing the erosional stability of a mater
ial for an IR-transparent ceramic, a solid solution of composition NaL
aS2-CaS (40-60%) is recommended. (C) 1996 The Optical Society of Ameri
